First outside reading

I am on the Edina Debate team and every year we debate a new topic and this years is Alternative energy in the U.S. We are given hundreds of pages of evidence from numerous sources. Nuclear Power is a very common debate topic and there are many articles written about it. "Nuclear Power is thriving throughout the world: Unlike the United States, were active construction of new generators ended in 1996, the rest of the world has continued building nuclear plants. 40 commercial reactors have started up, an average of 4 per year," Nikitin, Parillo, and Squassoni, 2008. This is a peice of evidence that starts my first speech. it is basically describing that even though the US has not been producing these reactors we have not hinderd on the rate that other countries are producing Nuclear Plants.
